Choose the model tier by the task first, then the vendor: decide how hard the work is and which tier it needs, and compare vendors only within that tier. The radar keeps the current lineup and prices, each with the date it was checked; model cards are how you check a vendor’s claims; Jev and Laya are a worked case of a decision model.
